I just wanted to say a huge happy new year to all my fabulous followers and to a certain special agent in my life (you know who you are :-)!!
This past month or two has certainly been a turbulent one, shedding a tear or two along the way but throughout the chaos I did manage to celebrate Lewis's 2nd birthday and enjoy a fabulous holiday at Centre Parcs in Penrith. With the help of a cocktail or two or three and the wonderful company of my family, my friend Susie and her family the later part of my year was certainly back on track and ready for the new year... or so I thought!! Instead I have caught the dreaded flu (and hubby) and it's absolutely floored me. I have now made a special bond with mr kleenex and his friends paracetamol but if anyone can suggest anything else that will get rid of this awful bug I am all ears. Well I am off to bed now to try and get some rest before hubby flies off to France tomorrow so take care and hope to catch up with you all soon
hugs Clare xx

Hi Clare,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you have the dreaded bug hun, my lot have had it over Christmas/New Year too. I got away with just a cold - fingers crossed we are all on the mend now. Rest, fluids (not the alcoholic type now), paracetomol and Brufen (you can take them alternately every two hours). I'm sure you will be back on your feet real soon. Glad you had a lovely break at Center Parcs - I'm soooo jealous - we love it there!
Anyways, sorry I missed Lewis's birthday, some secret agent I am eh???
Take care of yourself (and hubby)
hugs

Hi Claire!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back! I'm sorry to hear you have been having such a rough time lately. I hope you have a very happy and healthy 2011 and look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations again very soon.
Take care hun!

Get well soon, hun. My dad always recommends a hot toddy, a hot bath, a hot water bottle and an early night. It seems to work for him!
ReplyDeleteIt's very tough being a mum when you're ill. *hugs*
luv, Mags x

ReplyDeletehey Clare...thanks for your comments and does your friend make cards too?? I may know her if she is from Bathgate cos I know loads of people!!
ReplyDeletefi
Clare...I do think I know her. I used to take a gymnastics class at Bathgate Academy and there was a girl who moved to the area who came and I am sure her name was Fiona Leslie...I know she stayed at sibbalds brae and she did have a brother but I can't remember his name. Ask her if she came to the gymnastics class at Bathgate Academy...now I am going back to 1980ish up to 1992ish was when I was there.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read you have been having such an awful time lately. I have had the dreaded bug aswell. Not nice at all!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon
