Sarah Hurley Challenges and blog hop

Hi peeps hope you all had a lovely weekend and the sun is shining your way. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you that took part in the Sarah Hurley challenges blog hop over the weekend. I used good old random org this afternoon and he splilled out the winners. They are in no particular order......ooopps sorry forgot can't tell you til Wednesday. Oh I am such a tease but what I can tell you is Sarah's first challenge has started and it's a colour combo. We want to see you using the colours steel grey, petrol blue and a lovely sagey/olive green or something equivalent.

The winner will receive a special winners blinkie and a little Sarah hurley designs gift.

Two runner ups will receive a blinkie for their blog

You have until midnight Sunday 1st August and the winners will be announced Wednesday 4th.

Here's my card

and a side view

Please be gentle with your comments and no funny remarks about my giant squirrel lol!! Think he may have had one two many nuts or it could be I need more practice. My card does look better in real life but now I'm thinking I should have swapped the colours around showing more blue than green what do you think???

Here's what I used from Sarah's cd2

pine trees digi images printed onto olive green card stock, cut out and layered
Tree trunks- coloured using cocoa promarkers
squirrel digi image- coloured using ice grey one promarkers

here's what I used in my stash

flowers-punched with gems added
star gems- Flawless design shop in Stiling
tools-cuttle bug stars embossing folder
card stock- The Papermill
ribbon- rak thanks Mel

Well off to do the mass of ironing or perhaps I might do a little more blogging!!

Take care

Clare x

P.s You still have plenty of time to enter the abc challenge this week which is Z for Z card. Sounds complicated but pop over here to see some inspiration.

  2. I love the card and like the flash of turquoise - think loads of it might have been too much, but who knows?! Sorry I didn't get the chance to take part in the blog hop - no craft OR much blogging time on Sat/Sun. Made boxes for some jewellery tonight and hoping that normal service (i.e. much more crafting) is possible tomorrow. Take care. Susie x PS - Thanks for a brilliant night out on Saturday - Scott and I had a ball!!
