Something Magical

Good afternoon all...

stand up who stole the summer hols? Don't you think they have whizzed by this year?  It's been a bit crazy in the Broon's hoose so I shouldn't really be that surprised. However with both boys now in nursery and primary one  this week I'm hoping life will settle down a bit.

Today I'm sharing with you my DT card for Sarah Hurley Challenges..it's a little late but I won't bore you with the details. Instead I'll tell you how much fun I had making my very first shaker twisted easel card. It's something I have been wanting to try for a long time now and I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt. Anyway....

Our new monthly challenge theme is.....

SOMETHING MAGICAL

and this time we will be sponsored by thee Joanna Sheen who will be giving this months winner a whopping £10 voucher to spend in her online store...how fab is that!!

For this challenge I decided to use elements from Sarah's wizard school mini kit...it's just stinking cute and perfect for the wee boys in our lives.

my colouring is a bit poo due to my promarker ice grey 1 and 3 drying up but other than that I'm pretty pleased..not bad for a male card lol

If you want to join us and see oodles of inspiration from the rest of the dt team you will find the challenge blog

 here

Thanks again for stopping by and fingers crossed you won't have to wait too long for my next post.

Santa's Workshop

Good afternoon peeps...are you all enjoying this glorious sunshine? Lets hope it remain this way for the time being.

Today I've got a card to show you using some of the elements from Sarah's new Santa Workshop craft cd & digi kit.

I'll admit I was struggling a bit to get into the festive spirit of things with the hot sunshine blazing through my window. But desperate times require desperate measures so I took it upon myself to create a Christmas Playlist of my all time favourite songs and blast them out my speakers. You can't help but giggle when you hear 'baby it's cold outside' sung by Margaret Whiting and John Mercer and not Bing Crosby and Doris Day as most would believe. And once you start playing around with Sarah's cd it's hard not to get lost and forget that it's only the middle of August.

Below is a cheeky wee card....aren't those poloroid pics just adorable!

more details about Sarah's Santa Workshop can be found here!

well that's it for me and hopefully it won't be too long til my next post.

but until then a huge shout goes out to my followers both old and new...love you and all the little comments you leave!!

THE BIG REVEAL!

Good evening all...how are we all today?

I'm super excited as I can finally reveal one of the best kept secrets that we on Sarah Hurley's Design Team have been bursting to spill. I know you are just dying to know what all the fuss is about so I have posted below exactly what's going on.......in Sarah's very own words!

I apologise for the epic post but it had to be done so sit down, get yourself comfy and grab a cuppa

Today I'm totally thrilled to introduce my new product range, something I have been working on for months and months, so I can bring you a system rather than just a product. This new range, my new love, is Documented365!

The idea for Documented365 came from the realisation that the best things, the funniest things, the happiest moments are not always when they are "supposed" to be, not just on Christmas, our Birthdays, at our special occasions, often they happen in every day life and are quickly missed, moved on from, because the camera isn't to hand, we weren't expecting it, it wasn't planned for. Not any more! With this easy system and product range, you can quickly put together those memories and record everyday things you may not have before. Instagram pictures, tweets, funny things your husband / child / friend said that cracked you up - all those things you don't want to forget.

You can also capture parts of your everyday life, this year I have been tracing my family history with Ancestry.co.uk and as I'm finding people I wish I knew more, what their favourite outfit was, what they liked to do, how they used to live - now I can leave that for future generations of my family - my first records include, whats on my desk, my favourite outfit, how I wore my hair that day, my obsession with vintage headscarves, my nail polish colours - it may seem silly but this is the stuff you will look back on fondly, that your children / grandchildren / great grandchildren will want to know - it what makes you who you are.

I wanted a system that was easy but didn't take away the creativity - something I could use just to write something on and stick a picture on if I wanted but something I could also get very creative with and use to make scrapbook layouts, mini albums, smash book pages and so much more and with this mix and match collection you choose the pieces to make your perfect collection!

The first 22 kits launched today with lots of new products coming over the next few weeks (both digital and physical products) you can see them all here in my shop.

There is also a fab competition over on the Documented365 blog courtesy of our sponsor Prinstagram who have donated a bumper prize! You have 3 chances to win, so don't miss out!

This is just part of her story, the rest you will find here!
