it's official I am on the abc challenge design team!!

Well I never thought lil me would ever be on the abc design team but I am. I thought I would tell you all before they change their minds hee hee. If you aren't already doing so please show your support by joining me and the girls in the fortnightly challenge. It's V for Vintage this week so no excuse and the next challenge will be W for.......ooops top secret!!you'll just have to wait lol

Still here!!

Hi peeps huge apologies for the lack of blogging and posts but you know how it is house, kids,house,kids you get the idea!! so won't bore you with the details.

It was made for my gorgeous friend Susan who's birthday it was and we just had to celebrate it by having a wee girlie night out.Can't beat food, wine and gossip hee hee.

This was not the card I had running around my head no, it had a bear image, an oval and it had pink papers so how did I end up with a fairy a square and the colours orange, pink and green?? Who knows as it's not my usual colour choice but kind of like it, a bit different reminds me of chocolate oranges mmmm chocolate might need to raid the cupboard hee hee. I thought I would try colouring my image using different shades of the same colour and I was really pleased with the results unfortunately the camera doesn't show it too well.

Confirmation Mathew

Once again I have literally posted this a few minutes before Mr Linky expires, it seems to be the norm these days. But I just love the sketches over at sketch saturday so much and to miss out would be sinful hee hee. This week you have another chance to win a Hanglar Anglar stamp which once again Maya has kindly sponsored.

While I was on the look out for a stamp I came across confirmation Mathew from Whiff of Joy, isn't he just perfect? I also treated myself to some Magnolia papers and I have to say I was very cautious when cutting them as I didn't want to waste any. The white card stock is smaller than I used to (5"x 5") but Craftsuperstore has been out of stock of the 6" x 6" for a few weeks now and I had none left. I am undecided as to whether I like this size but by the time I have used all 100 of them I am sure I will love them.

I have still to add the sentiment so will upload a new picture later.

I have now made 5 male cards so I am excited about making my next card, another confirmation but this time for my niece. Magnolia here I come!!!

Celebration & Thanksgiving

It isn't everyday I am asked to make one of these or should I say two but I was and I said yes. I knew it wasn't going to be easy so I decided I should tackle these at the beginning of the week so that it still gave my friend Susan plenty time to buy a shop bought one if I failed.You can guess I wasn't that optimistic but I was only being honest with myself and there's nothing wrong with that.It was a case of worrying about not having a suitable stamp but after much rummaging I came across this christening stamp and the other one was guardian angel from Sugar nellie.I so wish I had a picture to show you but waiting on the parents to email me one lol
