Sugarbowl Challenge No22- Kathy sketch

This is my first ever entry for the sugar bowl challenge and I have to say what a challenge. To be honest my head was all over the place after receiving sad news regarding close friends of mine. I thought a challenge card would be a good distraction but it only gave me a headache and I didn't really enjoy my wee craft night. But lets move on and talk about my card.

I knew it had to be a christmas card since I have only made two to date.Pretty poor as I had high hopes for this year but he ho it's a start.Next challenge was deciding which image to use. The Sugar Nellie stamps are all beautiful but I finally decided to use winter wonderland so thankyou to my buddy mel for giving me such a wonderful image. Then I read you had to include lace, my first thought was oh my god I have no lace can't do challenge. But then I remembered Susie gave me a wee stash of ribbon when we meet up the other week so challenge card was back on the cards again.Choosing the papers was the easy part, I just love them not because they are beautiful but because they were a bargain aswell on craftsuperstore website.

When I finally finished my card I didn't really know what I thought of it, was it good, was it bad who knew. What I did know was I needed some sleep and soon.So your comments would be grateful on this one.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp- Challenge No13 Clare's

Don't you just love Maggie? Yes of course!!! There's just a little something about her that puts a little smile on my face every time I stamp and colour her.

So when my brother finally moved into his new home Maggie made an appearance once again. I know your probably thinking new home where's the house stamp.Well the truth is my stamp collection is somewhat limited because I have only recently got into stamping. But hey we cant have them all, can we???

I have entered this card over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp as I loved the sketch. Also because this week a £10 voucher for Joanna Sheens shop is up for grabs.I have had my litttle eye on Joanna's new Hoot collection for a few weeks now so fingers crossed I win.

MAWTT Challenge No 15- Heidi's sketch & Theme

So here is the sketch and if you want to join in the fun why not pop over to MAWTT

***************

I have so missed my challenge cards these past few weeks and when that window of opportunity finally made an appearance, I jumped at the chance to join the girls over at Moving Along With The Times.

However don't be fooled,I also had another wonderful reason for crafting and here is my confession....

During a wee visit at Buzz (soft play) with the boys, my best bud Susie and her gorgeous wee boy Euan. I was given a wee stash and who was inside but the fabulous Daisy. Well, boy was I wishing it was bedtime for the boys!!!All afternoon all I could think about was Daisy and my gorgeous backing paper which I had been secretly keeping for Daisy.Which by the way has been months!!

So now I had Daisy and my papers, all I needed now was inspiration and a challenge and after seeing Heidi's sketch it was perfect.Well almost, the paper piercing was certainly a challenge as I had never used this technique before. To be completely honest I had no idea what to do and so I finally decided to paper pierce the stitching on Daisy's jeans and T-shirts.Hope this is ok girls.
